What if you had to finish your task before you could scroll? π―π±
One of the features we've built into AntiRot is To-Do Friction Block.
The idea is simple:
You decide what you need to get done first.
Then you block the distracting app.
When you try to open it, AntiRot doesn't simply tell you βNo.β
Instead, you're reminded of the task you said you wanted to complete.
Finish the task β unlock the distraction.
It's a small change, but it tackles something we noticed while building AntiRot:
Most of us don't necessarily need another warning about screen time. We need a moment that interrupts the automatic decision to open an app.
The To-Do Friction Block turns that moment into:
βWhat were you supposed to be doing?β
Whether that's finishing a report, studying for 30 minutes, cleaning your room, going for a walk, or just getting through one important task.
We're trying to make distraction require a little more intention.
Would you use something like this, or would you find it too annoying? π
We're building AntiRot to help make your phone work for your attention, rather than constantly compete for it.
