We Studied Hundreds of HR Conversations. One Trend Kept Showing Up.
Over the years of building HR software, we've had countless conversations with HR leaders, founders, and business owners.
We expected discussions to revolve around payroll, leave management, or compliance.
Instead, one topic keeps coming up more than ever before:
Manager effectiveness.
Most organizations don't struggle because employees lack talent. They struggle because managers spend too much time on administrative work and too little time coaching their teams.
Approvals, follow-ups, status updates, manual reports, policy questions, scheduling—the list goes on.
When managers are buried in operational tasks, they have less time for meaningful conversations, feedback, career development, and team building.
That got us thinking.
Maybe the next wave of workplace technology isn't about replacing HR or managers with AI. Maybe it's about giving managers their time back so they can focus on leading people instead of managing processes.
I'd love to hear how others see it.
If you could take one recurring administrative responsibility off a manager's plate, what would it be and why?
