Solo dev here — built an AI WordPress health tool after getting tired of cryptic error logs

by•

Hey PH community 👋 — Introducing myself as a new maker here.

I'm Bilal, a solo software engineer. For years I watched non-technical WordPress site owners (and honestly, myself) completely stuck on PHP errors they couldn't read, slow sites they couldn't diagnose, and plugin updates they were afraid to run.

The existing tools all solve one thing. You need 5 different plugins just to understand what's happening on your own site. So I spent the last few months building Site CliniQ solo — no co-founder, no funding, no team.

A few things I learned building this alone:

1. is an underrated distribution channel that most SaaS founders completely ignore

2. Non-technical users don't need more features — they need plain English explanations

3. AI is most useful when it removes jargon, not when it adds complexity

The free version just went live. Still very early (single digits on installs!) but the product is real and working.

Would love feedback from this community — especially:

→ What's the most frustrating thing about maintaining a WordPress site?

→ Would you trust an AI diagnosis over hiring a developer for small issues?

Happy to share what I've learned building solo if useful to anyone here.
