Simulating persona-based shoppers on e-commerce sites that is effective, fast and cheap

by

Its difficult and time consuming for a shop owner to test your own site like a real customer. You already know where all the buttons are, how navigation works, etc. I was curious if there's an opportunity for VLMs there, so I started working on an software

that generates deeply defined behavioral personas to shop your site for you, carry out effective UX Testing and analyze shopping behavior. For instance: "32M in Manhattan, expectant dad, $100-$500 budget, strict review reader." to give you a tip of the iceberg.

The agent navigates the site exactly like that person would, like searching, filtering, and evaluating, etc. before completing a customizable UX survey. Personas can also be learned from past human interaction data.

In recent tests, the agent caught broken search queries (like "swaddle blanket" returning irrelevant results) and flagged missing product specs that would cause a hesitant buyer to bounce.

It’s not a total replacement for human testing, but rather a 24/7 QA layer that acts like a real customer. The use cases can vary. Curious to hear thoughts of show owners with stores on shopify and similar websites and if they'd like to try it out.
