Recip-A-Tor: 100% free offline recipe manager with automatic social media import, calorie tracking.
Hi everyone! 👋
I’m an independent developer and I wanted to share a project I’ve been working heavily on: Recip-A-Tor.
I built this application because I was completely fed up with modern recipe websites that take ages to load due to millions of ads, and apps that demand a monthly subscription just to save a simple text file.
Recip-A-Tor is 100% free, and you can disable ads completely for free. There will NEVER be any subscriptions here.
Just 0% subscriptions and 100% passion.
🌟 Key Features:
Smart Social Media Import: Instantly save recipes from any social media (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, FB) and blogs.
Zero Waste Meal Planner: Plan your meals based on the ingredients you actually have in your fridge.
Kitchen Management: Full control over your fridge, pantry, and spice rack.
Calorie & Macro Tracking: Automatically calculate calories for your recipes.
Scan Paper Recipes: Add recipes from physical cookbooks or handwritten notes using your camera.
Smart Shopping Lists: Auto-generated lists based on your meal plans.
Dedicated Cooking Mode: A clean interface designed to keep your screen readable while cooking.
App-to-App Sharing: Easily share recipes directly with friends.
Data Control: Secure backups and CSV/RTK file import/export.
Stunning UI Customization: Multiple themes and color changes, including an exclusive "Magazine Theme" layout.
💬 What I'm looking for (Feedback Request):
Since I've been staring at the code for months, I really need some fresh eyes. I would highly appreciate your constructive feedback on:
UI/UX: Is the navigation intuitive? How do you like the Magazine Theme?
Social Media Import: Did it parse your favorite recipe blog/video correctly?
Feature Requests: What crucial feature is missing that would make this your go-to cooking app?
