Notivo : catching student disengagement 6 weeks before grades drop
Built for JEE/NEET coaching institutes in India.
The problem: by the time a student's test scores or attendance drop, the institute has already lost the weeks it needed to fix it before the exam. Grades and attendance are lagging signals, everyone acts on them too late.
What we built: students write on paper daily in class as normal, a smart pen captures that handwriting (pressure, speed, hesitation, correction patterns). The pattern shifts weeks before the grades do, so the institute's academic head gets an early flag while there's still time to intervene. Zero change to how students study or write.
We also built a companion layer: since every note is already digitized, students get an app where all their notes live in one place, and can chat with an AI that has full context of them, auto summaries, mind maps, flashcards, quizzes generated from their own material. Institute gets the early-warning dashboard. Student gets a study tool from notes they were writing anyway.
Would love feedback, especially on: - Does "6 weeks early" sound credible, or need more proof upfront?
Any failure mode we should be stress-testing (false positives, privacy, surveillance concerns)?
