My Simple SaaS just crossed $30 MRR, small but people are paying for something I built

by

I'm building a simple iOS & GooglePlay app that helps Christians make time for daily devotional reading. Accompanied with reflection, prayer, discussion, streaks, etc. The gist is you're not too busy to make 5 minutes for something you care about, and this app helps block distractions and make it easy to spend time this way, if you want to.

I've gained a lot of knowledge from this community and want to share what has "slightly" moved the needle for me. This is the first product i've made that people I don't know have actually hit the pay button for. And like I said, I know this is not huge, or that impressive, but it's a big milestone for me because if you told me a month ago that I'd be making more than $0 I'd be thrilled. A long way to go, but here's what genuinely helped me get here.

Apple Ads. A handful of conversions here, not a great CTR or CPA but it's not zero. I'm still refining my search terms, but that's my main driver of acquisition right now. Plus Apple gives you $100 in ad credit when you sign up. So if you haven't, it's worth a try.

Meta & TikTok. Not great conversions for me, I've had a few from these but idk if it's just me but TikTok and Instagram are flooded with ads these days and I think people are just burnt out from it. I personally would never download an app I see from an ad on these platforms... but I'm at the stage where I just need to keep trying everything.

Creator partnerships. Have not panned out for me yet, and they are expensive. I genuinely don't understand small "influencers" asking $200+ for one video. I have done some for cheaper, but it just feels like lighting money on fire. Maybe I'm doing it wrong - if you have better ways to go about this, I'd love to hear them.

Any channels I'm missing? Like I said, I'm happy with the progress, but if there's something I should be doing that'll move the needle more.. I am all ears. I'm thinking about affiliates, and have a B2B distribution I'm testing out as well by reaching out to potentially interested communities where there might be a fit. Some pilot testing going on there, but no paying customers from it yet.

Thanks for reading, hope this helps someone.
