Most guitar apps sell lessons. I think lessons are why people quit
by•
I've taught guitar for years. The kids who stick with it aren't the ones who learn theory first — they're the ones who get handed a song they already love in week one.
Every app in my category does the opposite. Scales, levels, streaks, a progress bar. Very good at making you feel like you're learning. Not very good at making you play a song.
So I'm building the opposite: no lessons, no levels, no streaks. Upload a song, get the chords, play it.
Genuinely open to being wrong about this. Anyone here learned an instrument properly through structured lessons and think I'm underrating them?
