About

I’ve played guitar my whole life. My dad got me into it, and all I wanted to do was play the songs we loved so I could show him. However, I always found issues leaning; apps taught you how to play, not the songs you love to play. Building RiffReady — the guitar app I needed at 10. Practice packs for any song. Launching soon. 🎸 Building in public, so advice, thoughts and engagement are highly appreciated!

What a permanent ad ban taught me about distribution

Two of my Meta accounts are permanently restricted. Copyright strikes on early posts, appeal denied, second account caught by cross-detection. No paid Meta, ever. The lesson wasn t about copyright. It was that I d built my entire distribution plan on a platform that could delete it in one email. What I d tell anyone pre-launch: the channels you own email list, community karma, a maker profile with real history are the only ones that survive a bad week. Everything else is rented. Building a guitar practice tool. Launching here soon. Curious what other makers do to de-risk single-channel dependency.

Have you guys ever thought about giving up while developing a product?

I originally wanted to build this new product to solve a problem I faced in my daily life. But as a solo developer, the massive workload has completely eaten into my rest time, all while I'm still working my day job. On top of that, a recent health issue in my family has left me completely drained and anxious.

Sometimes I wonder if I should just let this project go. Even though I've poured so much into it, the truth is, my life wouldn't fall apart without it. I'm just feeling really lost right now.

How do you know you are building something real?

Building my first solo project with Ai was a roller coaster of emotions and insecurity leeched into every line of code.

The question that drove Iliad was am I actually building something real or am I trusting a customer service bot that a product exists at the end of this journey.
