Launching tomorrow: a production debugging game for engineers
Hey everyone,
We’re launching The Incident Challenge on Product Hunt tomorrow, and I’d love to get it in front of more software engineers before it goes live.
It’s a debugging game where developers log into a realistic broken system, investigate what went wrong, fix it, and race the leaderboard.
You get the kind of clues you’d see in a real incident: logs, code, configs, docs, architecture diagrams, misleading symptoms, and a ticking clock.
AI agents are allowed, but the challenge is designed so AI alone usually isn’t enough.
You still need real debugging instincts: where to look, what to ignore, and which weird detail actually matters.
If this sounds fun, painful, or weirdly addictive, you can follow the Product Hunt page before we launch tomorrow.
Would also love ideas for future incident scenarios if anyone has good ones.
