I launched Villix, a free iPhone app for people who want to understand their spending beyond just totals and
categories.

The app lets you:

  • Track bank and manual transactions

  • Scan receipts and attach them to purchases

  • Mark purchases as Worth It or Regret

  • Add notes to understand why you bought something

  • Track recurring spending and subscriptions

  • Split expenses with others

  • Search receipt items on a local map to compare prices nearby

The part I’m most excited about is receipt based item memory. When users scan receipts, items can be saved with price and location, so over time people can search things like coffee, eggs, or snacks nearby and compare what local places charge.

I’m trying to build this around financial awareness instead of guilt. The goal is not just “you spent $200 on food,” but “these are the purchases you keep repeating, these are the ones you felt good about, and these are the ones you regretted.”

Would love feedback from early users, especially around the reflection flow, receipt scanning, and whether local item price search feels useful.

Neat take on spending tracking...love the reflection angle and receipt scanning for price comparisons! I'll check it out.

If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI-powered flashcard app with a browser extension that turns webpages into study material using spaced repetition. Would appreciate a follow (see "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" link in my profile).
