I built a free tournament bracket tool solo. 5,000+ organizers later, what should it do next?
Hey PH,
I’m Pablo, a game developer from Uruguay. I kept running into tournament tools that were complicated, paywalled, or didn’t update live for players, so I built VERXUS.
What it does:
Swiss, League (round robin), Groups, Playoffs, Double Elimination, and Nations 48 (a 48-team World Cup style format)
Live viewer link so players and fans follow scores in real time, plus stream links for Twitch, YouTube, Kick and others
Co-organizers can run the same tournament from any device
Best-of series, two-legged ties, bracket reset, and Match-Up scoreboards for tennis and volleyball style scoring
Champion cards and PNG/PDF export to share results
Free, no signup, 15 languages
It launched in September 2025 and has grown to 5,000+ organizers with zero ad spend, from Italy, Norway, India, Argentina, Brazil and more. Most tournaments are football, but it’s built to handle pretty much any sport or esport.
Built solo with vanilla JS and Firebase.
If you’ve ever organized a tournament, what was the most painful part? I’m deciding what to build next and would love to hear it.
Try it: verxus.gg
Cheers,
Pablo
