How a personal project to survive toddler tantrums turned into my new app šŸš€

by•

Hey fellow makers (and parents)! šŸ‘‹

Like many of you, getting my kids to transition between activities, like leaving the park or finishing screen time, was a daily battle. To a toddler, "5 more minutes" means absolutely nothing.

So, I vibe-coded a solution.

Instead of a stressful ticking clock, I built a visual timer just for our family. A tiny character walks across a path of colorful blocks. When the path fills up, time is up.

The result? My kids started racing the character to get dressed or brush their teeth. It turned daily friction into a game.

After seeing the peace it brought to our home, I spent the last few weeks polishing it into a real product. I kept it completely safe and simple: no accounts, no sign-ups.

Today, that personal project officially launched as Crony.

If your home routines sound anything like mine, I’d love for you to try it out with your little ones. I’m looking for honest UI/UX feedback or feature ideas from this community!

(I'll drop the PH launch link in the comments below! šŸ‘‡)
