First Amazon orders on the site I built before I built the product
I make usebravery, so this is partly about my own product. Better to say that first.
Before there was a product there was a watch comparison site I'd made for my own use, BraveryWatch. Its first product page appeared on 10 June, on a new domain, and in early October it got its first Amazon orders. Amazon UK's numbers for the 30 days ending 7 October list 522 clicks and two orders totalling £40.73, one of them shipped. Germany's report covers the same days: 227 clicks and one order, €49.44, also shipped.
On the site a watch has one page per Amazon store. The US English version sends readers to Amazon US, the UK English version to Amazon UK, the German version to Amazon Germany, each with its own price. About ten days after that first page I started building the same setup for other people. That became the product, and I've sold 4 usebravery Starter plans since.
Has anyone else here built something for themselves first and sold it later? I'm curious whether the first order on your own copy changed how you talk about the product, or just how it feels.
