Does anyone know AI Video tools that DON'T give you uneditable AI slop?
Genuine question, and I'll say up front that we built one, so take this with the appropriate salt.
Here's the thing that keeps happening. You generate a video. It's 90 percent there. One line in the voiceover is wrong, or a zoom lands on the wrong part of the screen, or the pacing is off in the middle.
And there's nothing you can do about it. You can't open it. You can't nudge one thing. Your only option is to regenerate, and now the 90 percent that was fine is different too. So you pull the lever again. And again.
That's the part nobody talks about.
We spent the last two months on this specifically. Clueso runs inside Claude now, so you describe the video and get one back, but you get back an actual editable project. Timeline, clips, voiceover, callouts, all still yours to change. Fix one line and only that line changes.

But I'm genuinely asking about the rest of the category too. Has anyone found another tool that lets you actually edit what it gives you? Or is everyone else also just regenerating until it's close enough?

Off the top of my head, I cannot remember any other tool that gives that much creative freedom to edit videos after creating one through a prompt. Before this, Kept going back and forth, generating small video clips until they matched the vision is, plus using manual editing by aligning all those clips with other visual effects, text, etc. In the end, it takes just as much time as manually editing it and using stock footage. But so far, I haven't found a tool like Clueso, which helps you turn an idea into a fully editable video (which you can either edit manually or just prompt again and make changes).
