Can artificial scarcity create real value?
We’re building a product around a very simple idea:
What if every number could only be claimed by one person?
Not a phone number.
Not a domain.
Not an NFT.
Just a number.
People already assign meaning to numbers:
• Birth years
• Lucky numbers
• Jersey numbers
• Anniversaries
• Personal milestones
Our hypothesis is that people may want to claim and display a number that represents them.
The challenge is obvious:
A number only has value if enough people care about it.
So we’re trying to answer a fundamental question:
How do you create meaning around something that is technically infinite and freely available, but emotionally scarce?
I’d love to hear from founders who have built products around identity, collectibles, communities, or network effects.
What would you test first to validate this idea?
