Built an AI Follow-up tool for consultants & solo founders — would love your feedback

by

Hey everyone,

I've been building Shaks — a lightweight, mobile-first CRM that uses AI to make sure you never drop the ball on a follow-up again.

The problem: Consultants and solo founders are great at closing the first conversation, but terrible at the follow-through. Leads go cold because there's no simple system to track who to nudge, when, and with what.

What it does:

  • Tracks your leads/clients in one clean view

  • AI drafts the follow-up message for you based on context

  • Reminds you exactly when to reach out

  • Built for speed — three taps max, no clutter, no bloat

I designed it to feel calm and fast (monochrome UI, no emoji noise, nothing screaming for attention) — the opposite of most CRMs that try to do everything and end up doing nothing well.

Still early — waitlist is live here:

Would genuinely love feedback from this community: what's your current follow-up process (if any)? What would make a tool like this a no-brainer for you?

Thanks for reading 🙏

Parth, the follow-up drop off is the same failure point I keep hearing about from service founders, not lack of leads but lack of a system that remembers who needs what and when. Three taps max is a smart constraint, most tools lose people the moment logging an update takes longer than just remembering it yourself. I am working on something adjacent for founders running more than one business, curious how you are thinking about scope creep once consultants start asking for more than reminders. Good luck with the waitlist.

thanks stacy, means a lot from someone building in the same space fr

and yeah you nailed it, its never lack of leads. its ppl just forgetting to follow up bc theres no dumb-simple system for it. thats literally why i kept it 3 taps max

two things i didnt mention in the post btw:

  1. ai actually writes the follow up for you, so ur not sitting there like "ok what do i even say" after 2 weeks of silence

  2. u can scan a business card at an event and it auto adds them as a new client. no manual typing, no losing the card in ur pocket lol

on scope creep — im trying to stay strict about it tbh. if its "help me remember/follow up faster" its in scope. if its "help me manage full client relationship + invoicing + projects" thats a diff product and i'll just tell ppl to use smth else for that. easiest way to kill a good simple tool is trying to make it do everything

curious what ur building for multi biz founders tho, sounds like a diff enough problem that we're not really competing

Fair question. FounderFlow is an AI Executive Chief of Staff for founders juggling more than one business. It watches your business, identifies what matters, protects your revenue, and tells you exactly what to do next. Where Shaks catches one relationship before it goes cold, mine is more about someone running two or three ventures who cannot hold all of it in their head at once, less a single missed nudge and more knowing which fire to put out first on the day three things go wrong together. Different shape of the same root problem, people trying to run more than they can track manually. Appreciate you asking, good luck with the waitlist.

different shape of the same root problem" is exactly it. good luck with founderflow too, will keep an eye on it 🤝
