Built a lesson-planning tool for our family - would love your honest feedback

by

Hey all, I built a little tool for our family and I'm hoping to get some honest feedback on it.

Quick background: my wife and I homeschool our 3 daughters, and I'm an engineer. The teaching part we love. The prep part was wearing us down and I was spending way too much time asking ChatGPT for lessons, pasting them into Word, tweaking them, redoing them. So I built something to make it easier.

It's called Homeschool Ranch. You pick your teaching style, type in a topic and grade level, and it puts together a full lesson in about a minute. Pretty simple.

The moment it clicked for me: my daughter asked about alligators while we were sitting in the car one day. I pulled it up on my phone, made a lesson right there, and just taught her on the spot. She loved it. By the time we got home she knew the whole thing. No screen for her, just us talking through it.

Anyway, I'd really love your honest take. Does this seem useful? Would you actually use something like this, or does it miss the point of how you like to teach? Don't hold back I'd rather hear what's wrong with it than what's right.
