Building Unified Orbis, an AI-native WorkOS, launching soon đź‘‹
Hey everyone, I’ve been part of the team building this over the last few months and wanted to actually share what we’re working on instead of just a launch teaser.
The problem we kept running into: most teams end up spread across email, chat, docs, a ticketing tool, a project tracker and a handful of other specialised apps, and none of it shares context. Half of “getting work done” turns into hunting for information across tabs instead of actually doing the work.
Two things worth explaining:
Tasks & tracking, without a separate ticketing tool. Unified Orbis has Epics, Stories, sprints, and Kanban boards built in, so issue tracking lives in the same place as chat, docs, and calendar instead of needing a dedicated Jira-style tool bolted on separately.
Orbis AI. This is the part that ties everything together, it’s built to understand company-wide context, not just one app’s data. So instead of asking a chatbot a generic question, you’re asking something that can actually see across your chat, tasks, and docs to give a real answer, not a search result.
Still early and we’re getting ready to launch. Would love to hear from other builders here: how do you currently handle tool fragmentation on your own team, do you consolidate aggressively or just live with the sprawl?
