Building Fainto: Private Budget Tracker / Not for the sake of money

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m currently building Fainto — a personal finance app focused on helping people understand their money, manage expenses, and make smarter financial decisions.

This project started from a personal need, not just the idea of creating another app for passive income. I wanted something that could actually help me track my spending, provide meaningful insights, and guide me toward building long-term wealth. 💰📈

I work in the financial industry at a large international bank, so I’ve had the chance to see how the financial world works behind the scenes. One thing that always stood out to me was how difficult it is to find a finance app that is truly helpful, personalized, and respectful of privacy.

I tried many existing apps, but I kept running into the same problems:

• Too many ads and distractions 🚫

• Generic advice that didn’t actually fit my financial situation

• Concerns about connecting my bank account and giving away sensitive financial data 🔒

That’s why I’m building Fainto with a different approach:

My goal is to build a tool that feels like having a personal finance coach in your pocket, without sacrificing privacy.
