Build-in-public update: what 4 weeks of community engagement on PH actually did for our pipeline
Showing up consistently in a community is one of those things every distribution thread recommends but few founders track honestly. Sharing real numbers from the last 4 weeks here.
What was done:
→ 12 substantive comments on other people's threads, weekly
→ 3 original threads (no product mention in body)
→ 1 AMA in a relevant product forum
What it produced:
→ ~40 profile visits per active week
→ ~8 inbound DMs total (4 from buyers, 3 from other builders, 1 from a partner)
→ 2 conversations that turned into actual discovery calls
→ Zero direct sales — but real top-of-funnel motion
Honest takeaway: community shows up as a slow, compounding channel. Not a pipeline-in-a-week channel. Builders expecting fast conversion will be disappointed. Builders treating it as 12-month trust-building see different results.
Curious whether others tracking PH/community engagement have similar or different patterns.
