An app created while unemployed

by

Hi everyone! My app launch is happening on May 14th at 12:01 AM PT.

I’m not sure if the forum rules allow for self-promotion, so I’ll share the story behind the app without a link: what it is, when I built it, and why.

I created Bendida TimeBox during the hardest period of my life—a time of debt, unemployment, frozen bank accounts, illness, and other struggles. I was looking for a way to stay strong and keep moving toward my dreams without breaking, but most apps out there didn't help.

It feels like most apps are built for 'straight-A' snobs who have perfect lives and can plan every minute of their day. I’m not that person, and neither are the people I know. I needed a different approach. I developed this app and improved it step-by-step, releasing over 50 updates on Google Play. I spent exactly $66 on marketing before I completely ran out of money. Now, I’m looking for organic ways to grow.

I’ve just integrated an AI assistant that helps you plan your path based on your dreams. There are more features coming; I just need your support, feedback, and a sign from the market that this app is as necessary for others as it is for me.

Inspiring story...building an app through such tough times takes real grit! I'll check out Bendida TimeBox. If you're up for it, I'm launching The Sponge on PH soon...an AI-powered flashcard app that turns webpages into study material with spaced repetition. Would appreciate a follow (See "PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH" Link in my profile).
