a walk with my son became the idea for memory collections in iz
a walk with my son made me want more than a folder of photos. i wanted to keep the places and moments together, as one story.
i'm Alperen, co-founder of iz, building it with Tuna in Istanbul. iz lets you leave a photo postcard, a note, music or a book memory at the place where you are. you can keep traces private or share them.
we've added collections so traces from a walk, a trip or an ordinary day can sit together on a map. you can give a collection a cover and a description, then share it as an image or a link.
a question for people who take photos on their walks: would you revisit a map of your memories, or would a simple photo album still be more useful? what would make you save your first collection?
if you'd like to try it, iz is on iOS and Android, free to download with optional in-app purchases: https://iz.city/en/
i'd especially appreciate feedback on the first-memory experience. no need for a big trip — an ordinary day counts too.
