A lot of founders build products nobody knows about
One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of beginner founders focus only on building the product itself, but don’t focus enough on visibility and distribution early on.
I’ve been building VertoX for more than 2 years now, and one of the biggest things I learned is this:
If nobody knows your product exists, growth becomes much harder later.
For the last 6+ months, I’ve been consistently talking about VertoX across different platforms almost every day — X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt, Reddit, Discord communities, and more.
Over time, it compounds.
More people start discovering what you’re building, why you’re building it, and the problems you’re trying to solve. Some people become interested in the vision, some want to collaborate, some want partnerships, and some simply enjoy following the journey.
Because of this, I’ve met founders, developers, marketers, investors, and builders from different countries. We’ve ended up having conversations on Google Meet and Zoom that I honestly couldn’t imagine having 2 years ago.
My biggest advice to early founders:
Build in public.
Talk about:
→ what you’re building
→ why you’re building it
→ technical struggles
→ mistakes
→ lessons
→ progress
→ ideas
People connect more with the journey than with a perfect, polished launch.
We also opened a Discord community today around startups, AI, technology, VertoX, and people building interesting things. The goal is to create a place where people can connect, share ideas, get feedback, discover products, and maybe even meet future teammates, partners, or investors.
