A finance app for people who hate finance apps (ADHD, anxiety, and money)

by

Hey PH community 👋,

I’m Mónica, and I honestly hate traditional finance apps. They make me feel anxious, guilty, and completely overwhelmed.

If you have ADHD, financial anxiety, or just a brain that panics when looking at spreadsheets, you know exactly what I mean. They aren't built for us. They're built for people who never impulse-buy and love staring at numbers.

A year ago, I launched a raw version of Finiverse, no website, no strategy, just my code. Predictably, nobody found it. So I stepped back, listened to neurodivergent users, and rebuilt everything from scratch.

Finiverse is a finance app that doesn't feel like a finance app:

  • 🤖 Sam AI: An assistant that connects how you feel with how you spend. No judgment, no shame, just patterns.

  • 🛒 The Cool-Down Wishlist: Add an item, wait 24h (or a week). It stops dopamine-driven impulse buying before it happens.

  • ❤️ Emotional Check-ins: Because your mood directly affects your wallet, and your app should understand that.

  • 🎮 Gamification: XP, levels, and weekly missions. Managing money shouldn't feel like a punishment.

Why I’m sharing this today: As a solo founder, building this has been a massive journey. This week, Finiverse is officially back with a proper website, an Android waitlist, and a backend optimized to avoid false behavioral correlations (yes, I deeply nerded out on the data science side).

If managing money gives you anxiety, I’d love to know: What is the exact moment that makes you feel the worst? Checking the balance? The post-purchase guilt?

Let’s chat in the comments! And if this resonates, your upvote and feedback would mean the world to me. 🧡
