I'm a college student. No co-founder. No investors. No team. Just me, my laptop, and a problem I couldn't stop thinking about. People I love and, even people I met walking down the street were falling apart quietly. Carrying grief they couldn't name, anxiety they couldn't shake, faith that felt like it had gone silent. They were downloading apps that gave them breathing timers and generic affirmations — and closing them feeling emptier than before. I couldn't accept that. So I built something different. Selah is named after a Hebrew word that appears 74 times in the Psalms. Ancient musicians placed it at the heaviest moments in a song — a pause that says: stop. feel this. let it land. That's what Selah the app does. It's an AI that listens the way a wise friend does — not scripting responses, but actually tracking what you've been carrying. It remembers. It notices patterns. It meets you in grief, in doubt, in the 2am moments when everything feels too heavy — and it walks with you through it using Scripture, guided prayer, and conversations that go somewhere real. I built every line of code myself. Launched it on a prayer and a Railway server. And I genuinely believe this is the most important thing I've ever made. Not because of the features. Because of what it's for. Mental health is a crisis. Faith communities are desperate for tools that speak their language. And there is almost nothing built at the intersection of both — that takes God seriously and takes pain seriously at the same time. Selah does. I'm not here to sell you something. I'm here because this needs to exist in the world — and I need people who believe that too. Try it free. Tell me what hits. Tell me what's missing. Help me make it better. This is day one.
