SecuSpark - Turn boring cert exams into a MMORPG with boss fights

by
Studying for CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, or CySA+ is boring and lonely. SecuSpark turns certification prep into an offline-first RPG — fight pixel-art monsters by answering 2,500+ human-written questions, get AI-powered explanations when stuck, level up your character, join clans, and battle other students in PvP arena. Free tier available.

Hey Product Hunt! I'm Pawel, the solo dev behind SecuSpark. I built this because studying for my Security+ was genuinely painful. Hundreds of flash cards, dry practice exams, zero motivation to open the app after day 3. I kept thinking: "I play RPGs for hours without getting bored — why can't cert prep work the same way?" So I built it. SecuSpark turns CompTIA certification prep (Security+, Network+, A+, CySA+) into a full RPG. You fight enemies by answering questions correctly. Your damage scales with speed and accuracy. You level up a character, earn gear, and unlock achievements — all while drilling real exam content. What makes it different: - 2,500+ human-written questions (not AI-generated slop) - Real RPG battle system with stats, crits, and boss fights - AI-powered explanations when you get stuck - Works offline (study on a plane, in a cafe, anywhere) - Free tier with full access to core study features I've been building this solo for over a year. Today's launch is a huge milestone. For PH: use code PRODUCTHUNT for 30% off any Pro plan this week. Curious — for those who've studied for IT certs: what was the hardest part of staying motivated? I'd love to hear if anyone else hit the "day 3 wall."

@pawel_s1  This is one of the most creative things I've seen on PH in a while. The "day 3 wall" is SO real — I hit it hard with my Security+ years ago and just brute-forced through Quizlet cards until my eyes glazed over. Gamification is the right answer but most apps phone it in with confetti and streaks. An actual RPG with boss fights and PvP? That's a completely different retention loop. Two thoughts on growth: 1) The r/CompTIA subreddit is massive and constantly asking for study tool recs — this would go viral there. 2) If you can get even one IT bootcamp to pilot this with their cohort, word of mouth will be unstoppable. The social/clan features are a huge wedge. Congrats on a year of solo building — this is genuinely special.

This is actually good. I would recommend that you add a lesson feature for the user to read and then ask questions because, otherwise, I have no idea of the question's topic.
