Secoda - The all in one workspace for data teams

Hi everyone 👋 We are so excited to share Secoda with the PH community. We've been working on this product for a while and hope it helps all employees feel more comfortable and confident when using data. Today, data teams collect tons of data, but most employees don't know what data exists, how to use it, and what data to trust. This confusion happens because different components of data knowledge get collected in fragmented tools. Secoda lets teams manage their data catalog, data dictionary, queries, charts and documentation in one place. Our customers use Secoda in a variety of ways to help them understand and use data: 👩‍💻 Data Engineers Secoda provides lineage and metadata information to help data engineers diagnose the root cause when issues occur. 👨‍🏫 Data Analysts Secoda's collaborative SQL notebooks allow analysts to create queries and charts within documents, which can be shared with the rest of the team. 🕵️‍♀️ Data Consumers Any employee can explore the data dictionary and other data assets at their organization to understand and use for decision making. Congrats on the launch team! I've personally seen several companies battle the challenges of not having a system to make data available to teams even though the data exists somewhere. Data discovery tools like Secoda are solving a huge problem that every company on the planet will face at some point so really excited to see the progress!

Amazing stuff, Etat. Secoda is one of the simplest data catalogue tools that we've used. Loved the whole experience of setting it up. DBT integration is so thoughtful.

Love this. Too many data teams invest time and money into assembling modern data stacks, only to be bombarded with questions like "so what does this table mean?" and "can I trust this data?" Unfortunately, I've seen this both at nimble startups and huge Fortune 500 enterprises. Answering each question in Slack is a time sink, and putting together a Google Sheet is a red herring. Now you have to maintain a Google Sheet *and* answer a bunch of questions in Slack. It's not fun. Kudos to @mizrahietai, @andrew_mcewen, and the rest of the Secoda team for building an intuitive and simple solution to a ubiquitous problem! I'm excited to try this ourselves and recommend it to our partners.
