"I watched a stressed host shout across a packed pub, 'Is table 7 free?!' and thought: there has to be a better way." Every restaurant tool I found was either a $200/month POS add-on, a clunky iPad app that needed training, or a spreadsheet dressed up with a logo. Staff were still scribbling on paper during Friday rushes. Walk-in guests left because they had zero visibility on wait time. Hosts, waiters, and managers were all working from different mental pictures of the floor. I'm the maker of SeatSense. Built this solo after a frustrating night watching pub staff manage a 60-cover floor with a clipboard and group WhatsApp.

A few things I'm proud of that don't fit in the description:

  • Zero external AI API — the turnover predictions, smart seating scores, and wait estimates all run on Supabase queries against your own shift history. No OpenAI bill, no latency, no black box.

  • Installs as a PWA — staff bookmark it once, it works offline-tolerant, and it's on their home screen. No App Store approval cycle.

  • Realtime across all devices — powered by Supabase Realtime. When a waiter marks a table occupied on their phone, the host screen updates in under a second.
