I was frustrated by how almost every free PDF tool (like iLovePDF) forces you to upload your sensitive documents—like bank statements, legal contracts, or IDs—to their servers. Not to mention the hidden paywalls and slow processing times.
So, I decided to build a completely private alternative.
ScanFlow is a suite of PDF tools (Merge, Split, Protect, Sign, and Image-to-PDF) built with Next.js and WebAssembly. The catch? It processes everything 100% client-side.

Merged a few contracts in Chrome and it worked instantly without uploading anything, which is exactly the kind of no-fuss tool I keep bookmarking. Splitting by page range was surprisingly quick too.
