SanctScan - Simple Sanction Screening

by
SanctScan is the simple, affordable alternative to enterprise compliance tools. While competitors charge $100+/mo with sales-only pricing, we offer a transparent $29/mo Starter plan and a generous Free Tier for MVPs. We don't just screen once; we include continuous daily monitoring with instant webhook/email alerts for risk changes. It’s built developer-first with a clean API, global list coverage (OFAC/EU/UK/UN/AU), and zero friction—start screening in minutes, not weeks.

Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built SanctScan because the existing sanctions screening tools felt like overkill for what I actually needed. If you're building a fintech or SaaS today, you need to check users against lists like OFAC or EU sanctions. But the current options are usually massive enterprise platforms (expensive, sales calls, yearly contracts) or clunky legacy tools with confusing credit systems. I just wanted a simple API that works, monitors my users, and doesn't cost a fortune. So I built SanctScan. What makes it different: It's simple & affordable: No sales calls. No "contact us" for pricing. It starts at $29/mo (vs. the $100+ standard) and has a transparent Free Tier for side projects and MVPs. Continuous Monitoring included: You can screen a user once, or set it to "Monitor" so we re-check them daily against list updates. If a risk score changes, you get a webhook or email alert instantly. Developer-first: It’s built to be integrated. A clean REST API, webhooks for alerts, and clear docs. You can be up and running in minutes, not weeks. What's next: I'm starting with the major global lists (OFAC, EU, UK, UN, AU) but I am adding more jurisdictions over time. If there is a specific list or region you need supported, please let me know! I'm bootstrapping this as a solo founder, so I'm really focused on making this the easiest compliance tool for startups to adopt. I’d love for you to try the free tier and give me your feature suggestions in the comments. I'm building based on your feedback! 🚀

Tried SanctScan recently while looking for a straightforward way to run sanctions checks without dealing with a full-blown AML platform.

What I like is the focus — it’s clearly built to do one thing: check people or companies against global sanctions lists and return a quick risk signal. The UI is simple, the results are easy to read, and you can generate reports without jumping through enterprise-style hoops.

The pricing is also surprisingly reasonable compared to most compliance tools, which tend to get expensive fast.

It’s not trying to replace a full compliance stack, and that’s probably the right call. For teams that just need a fast sanctions check or a lightweight monitoring layer, it seems like a pretty practical tool. Still early days from what I can tell, but it’s a solid approach to a problem that’s usually wrapped in overly complicated software.
