Hey founders,

A quick experiment, and I want to see everyone's results in the replies.

Open ChatGPT (or Gemini, Perplexity, Claude) and ask it the exact question your ideal customer would ask before buying. Something like "best [your category] for [your ICP]" or "what should I use to [job your product does]."

Then screenshot the answer and post it here.

Three things to look for:

• Does it name your brand at all?

• Does it name a competitor instead of, or above, you?

• Is what it says about you even accurate?

I'll go first. I asked one for the top tools in my space, and it confidently listed three competitors and left me out entirely. Not wrong exactly, just blind to me. That moment is a big part of why I ended up building in this space.

Why I think this is worth 30 seconds of your time: buyers have quietly shifted from Googling to asking. Whatever the model says is now the shortlist, and most founders have never checked what it says about them. You optimized for Google for years. Almost nobody has looked at this.

No pitch in this one. I just think the results will be more interesting than any stat I could quote, and a little humbling for most of us.
