Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I built Saldo ID after getting tired of being rejected at toll gates because I forgot to check my e-money balance beforehand. The only way to check was driving to a minimarket and tapping the card on their EDC machine — which felt absurd for something this simple. So I built an app that turns NFC on Android phones into a balance reader. Tap your card, see your balance in seconds, no extra hardware needed. Currently it's focused on Indonesian e-money and toll cards (Mandiri e-Money, Flazz, Brizzi, etc.), but the NFC/APDU reading approach should work for similar contactless balance cards. Would love feedback, especially from anyone outside Indonesia — curious if similar transit/toll card systems elsewhere could use something like this too. 🙏
