SafeMCP is a free, searchable directory of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers — the open protocol Anthropic launched to connect LLMs to external tools. 28,577 servers indexed so far, individually verified by a classifier that confirms each repo actually implements MCP, sorted into 95 categories, scored 0-100 on metadata quality. Each has its own detail page with install snippets for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and any other MCP client. No signup, no ads, no rate limit. Built solo.

hey PH, tan here. solo built safemcp.info over the last 8 days because finding the right MCP server to plug into claude desktop or cursor was genuinely painful — github awesome lists go stale, the aggregator sites only show a fraction, and there's no way to browse by what a server actually does. ended up at 28,577 verified MCP servers across 95 categories. each one has its own detail page with the install snippet you can paste straight into claude_desktop_config.json or .cursor/mcp.json. it's free, no signup, no ads, no rate limit. runs on cloudflare's free tier so $0/mo of infra. it's a discovery tool the 0-100 score is metadata based (popularity + description quality + multi-source presence), so review code before connecting anything that touches your data. honest about gaps too ~20% of servers land in "other" because they're too niche to bucket, and i show that openly on the home page instead of hiding it. would love your feedback, especially on the discovery flow. if you've published a server and we have it miscategorized, or there's an obvious one we missed, drop a comment or email hello@safemcp.info. cheers.
