Hey everyone! I'm Gaute, the maker of Runlater. I've been building software for over 25 years, and one thing keeps coming up in every project: you need background tasks. Cron jobs, webhooks, delayed work — the boring but critical stuff. I've built 3 different internal versions of this over the years, and finally decided to make it a proper product. Most tools for this are US-hosted, which is a headache if you're building for European customers. And the ones that were simple and developer-friendly pivoted to AI workflows, leaving a gap for developers who just want reliable task execution. So I built Runlater. One API for task queues, cron scheduling, inbound webhook forwarding, and uptime monitoring. Hosted on Hetzner in Germany — your data never leaves the EU. It's built with Elixir on the BEAM VM, which is basically designed for systems that need to run forever. No Redis, no external queues — just Postgres and GenServers doing what they do best.
