🏋️‍♀️ What’s your strongest skill as a Maker?

by•

We’re all naturally a little better at some things than others.

I’ve been thinking about what skills and behaviors make me… me. =)

I think some of them come with our DNA. Others are things we practice and practice until they become part of us.

And maybe the interesting part is learning how to make our strengths even stronger, while quieting the ones that sometimes make our path harder.

For me, I’d say my strongest ones are:

• Curiosity - I always want to understand and explore.

• Making spontaneous, fast decisions - can be either a strength or a weakness =D

• An eye for tiny details - sometimes I notice things nobody else would.

• Structuring almost everything - my brain naturally wants to turn things into systems and steps.

• I never, and I mean NEVER give up - I can change direction, steer differently, make U-turns, or take a completely different road. But I don’t stop moving toward the goal I’ve set.

My weakest one?

• Impatience !

I’m working on it, because sometimes I run before the whistle =D

So now I’m curious:

What’s your strongest skill or behavior as a maker?

Are our strongest traits something we’re born with, or can we build them through practice?

And what’s the one trait you’re currently trying to improve?

My strongest skill is staying consistent and figuring things out along the way. Curious to know, which trait are you currently trying to improve?

Yes, consistency is a great one!

The main one I’m trying to improve is impatience, as I mentioned. It has led me throughout my whole life - I couldn’t handle it when I was younger, but over the last few years, I’ve started to figure it out and demonstrate a bit more patience =)
