🎓 What did you study, and what are you doing now?
by•
I’ve always found it interesting how different people’s careers can turn out compared to what they originally studied.
Especially in the startup and tech world, there are so many people building products in fields that have little to do with their formal education.
So I’m curious:
What did you study? And what are you doing now?
Did you end up working in the same field, or did your career take you somewhere completely different?
And if you changed direction, what made you do it?

I studied Mathematics, but somehow ended up becoming a brand designer.
On paper, they couldn’t seem more different. One is built on numbers, logic, and patterns; the other on ideas, emotion, and visual language.
But I’ve come to realise they’re not that far apart. I’ve always loved finding patterns, making sense of complexity, and turning scattered pieces into something that feels clear and intentional.
I chose design simply because I fell in love with the process of creating, and once you find something that makes you curious enough to keep learning, it’s hard not to follow it. @adana
@davemadeit Every art in this world is based on math - that’s what my mom, who’s a math teacher, always says =D
She always says that the moment she retires, she’ll get an easel and start drawing something ))
I understand what you mean about the similarities. Do use exactly math knowledge to make your design process more advanced?
