🎦 Do solo makers have meetings too? =D

To build something, expand an idea into a working plan, or simply give life to something new, we need conversations.
But what happens when you're building alone?
Do solo makers have meetings too? =D
Who do you talk to when you need to brainstorm, make a decision, or turn an idea into a plan?
And for those building with a team:
Where do you organize your meetings?
How often do you have them - fixed schedule or only when necessary?
I'm curious how everyone handles this.
Team meetings, solo meetings or no meetings at all?..

Our team usually prefers less meetings. We prefer quick chats on the phone or good written documents (because we utilize ai as much as possible). But we always get together after a client meeting to do a recap. It is a culture in our team.
@mertcansaglam That's great that you gather after meetings <3
And how do you usually do the recap after a client meeting? Do you use the meeting platform's summary, or do you write something down yourselves?
@adana right now we are not using any tools in meetings. We take notes manually and review them together
@mertcansaglam That could be a good reason for the team to align everything together.
Good luck with today's launch!
This is an interesting topic. Essentially who do solo makers have meetings or conversations with to expand their ideas. Well, let me chip in here as a solo founder. Ideas are not fully formed when I start working on them. To gain clarity and expand the ideas, I have conversation with trusted family and friends. Recently I have fallen in love with AI conversation to expand a vague idea into a working product. Then after building a working protype I let people use it for free and give me feedback to reshape or pivot. So I personally don't spend time organizing meetings at all when I should be building and refining the craft.
@richatsealedvault Thanks for sharing your experience from a solo builder's perspective!
AI conversations can really replace meetings in your case =)
But does it always agree with you, or do you ask it to challenge your ideas?
@adana No, we don't always agree but we all find a working path. A lot times AI brings researched information that I did not know. For example, in one of my recent conversations I argued that data storage was going to get cheaper over the years, AI challenged me with researched data that storage is going to get more expensive in the next coming years and that a few companies are charging a premium for long term data storage. It was one of my interesting "meeting" conversations.
How about you, how do you hold conversations to shape your ideas and product?
I usually keep meetings minimal and only schedule them when a discussion can save time or help make a decision quickly
@shivam_kushwaha16 Do you think scheduling regular meetings could help?
Sometimes we only have them when necessary, but maybe having mandatory daily or weekly meetings with the team could be helpful?
@adana I think a weekly team meeting can help with alignment and catching issues early but keeping it short and focused is what makes it worthwhile
Solo makers definitely have meetings... Mine are me, a notes app, and a lot of walking around the room. Fun question, because solo builders rarely talk about this. Curious how everyone else handles it...
