Rule Referee - Instant board game rules — no more mid-game arguments

by
Rule Referee started at a family game night where we spent more time arguing about Mexican Train rules than actually playing. I built a search engine that pulls answers directly from real rulebooks, not AI-generated guesses. It's deterministic, not generative. It's designed to say it doesn't know rather than make something up. Currently 15 games including Catan, Exploding Kittens, Chess, Mexican Train, and more. Chess and 3 games of your choice or $2.99/month for all access. iOS only for now.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Autumn: solo indie developer and author based in Mexico. Rule Referee started at a family game night. We kept pulling out the Mexican Train rulebook every time someone new joined, just to check how many dominoes to start with. I threw the rulebook into a custom GPT to get through the trip then spent the next several months building something better. The core philosophy: I'd rather build a system that pauses than one that pretends. Every answer comes from a reviewed rulebook, not a language model guessing. 15 games currently, more coming. Happy to answer any questions about the build, the architecture, or what games you'd want to see added!
