RouteFit - The miles the app doesn't show you, RouteFit does

by
Most gig workers calculate $/mile based on what the app shows, but that ignores the miles you drive after the drop-off, back to your zone or home. RouteFit tracks your full shift: total miles, dead miles, and real $/mile. Built by a DoorDash driver who got tired of guessing. Android only. Free to start. If you drive for DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub, this shows you what you're actually earning.

I drove for DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub and kept feeling like my earnings didn't add up. The apps show you $/mile for the delivery, but they don't count the miles you drive after the drop-off to get back to your zone. I started tracking it manually and realized I was losing 20–30% of my effective earnings to dead miles I wasn't accounting for. I built RouteFit to track the full picture: total miles, dead miles, and real $/mile per shift. As I built it, I realized the bigger problem wasn't just tracking, it was that drivers have no way to tell the platform where they're trying to end up. So I added 'On My Way,' a simple intent log that captures your direction after a shift. The long-term goal: use that data to match drivers with orders that actually take them home.
