Rightfont 3 costs $49, i bought it at a sale for $39,95 last year. Today i got Rightfont 4 by an auto-update and now it asks for another $25 ($20 current rebate) to re-activate it. This sounds like a rip-off. Especially when you see the changelog for this "major" release: https://rightfontapp.com/update/...

illustrator? seriously?

Pros:

Good Font-Manager

Cons:

Pricing and WTF Update-Model

FYI: if you had the same problem as me and want to go back to v3, use this link: https://rightfontapp.com/downloa... — auto-updater will still bother you to update to the paid 4.0 release

Absolutely agree with you! The updates just don't justify a completely new version in my opinion. I'm ready to pay $50 for such programs because I want to support the developers but I feel cheated when I have to pay that amount with no real added value in comparison to V3. And don't get me wrong, I love V3 as it's one of the most essential tools for me as a brand designer and I couldn't live without it, but if you have to pay for every little update that adds almost no value to the app I just feel cheated on.

Pros:

One of the best Font managers out there

Cons:

The pricing… C‘mon… why I should pay two or three times for the same software. I‘ve two macs but I don’t understand why I need two serials

version 4 is really buggy. I see absolutely no difference between version 3 and four. This was not a 4.0 upgrade but a 3.whatever update. Version 4 doesnt work in sketch, doesnt work in photoshop.
