Rewindex - Auto-snapshot for AI agents

by
Auto-snapshot for AI agents. Free. Local. Always on. Every time you or your AI saves a file, Rewindex captures a version automatically. No commits needed. When something breaks, just tell your AI "undo that" and it rolls back instantly. No cloud, no account required.

Hey PH! 👋 I was coding with an AI agent when it broke something mid-session. I asked it to revert. It said "I don't remember what it looked like before." That's when I realized I was stuck. I'd written too much to just pull from git. So I built Rewindex, an auto-snapshot tool for AI agents. And I spent every night after work on it, sometimes until 3am. It snapshots every file save automatically, whether it's you or an AI agent making the change. No commits needed. When something goes wrong, just tell the AI "undo that" and it rolls back in one command. Or if you'd rather check yourself, you can browse the log and rewind manually, via the web UI or command line. Started as a personal fix, but turns out it helps a lot once AI agents are part of your workflow. Putting it out for free. If you try it and like it, or find something broken, let me know 😅
