Retrace - AI-powered analytics and search for Discord communities.

by
Discord communities generate thousands of messages a day across dozens of channels. Most of it never gets read. Retrace connects to a Discord server and turns those conversations into structured intelligence: AI-generated summaries, trend detection, semantic search, and a Q&A interface for querying community history. The most valuable feedback lives in conversations, not in hot takes and GIF reactions on socials. Retrace makes Discord's sea of organic content legible.

I built Retrace almost by accident. I was in a bit of a creative rut, my other product Recurve had slowed down, so I needed something interesting to work on. A friend mentioned something about an AI-enabled memory layer for an app he was working on, and that sounded like a cool problem so I took a crack at it. At some point I wired it up to Discord, using server messages as the memory source. It worked well technically, but I realized nobody would actually want it. Few people want to talk to an AI about Discord message history. An underlying problem jumped out though: large Discord communities generate huge amounts of messages, and community managers have no way to make sense of it. I pondered for a bit and that vision became Retrace. It's built for game studios, publishers, any org with large, active servers. Communities where the most valuable feedback is already happening, just buried in thousands of messages nobody has time to read. Retrace turns that mess into structured insights, enables semantic search, and gives teams a real pulse on their communities.
