RESERVE - When the scale goes up, this app says nothing. On purpose.

by
RESERVE shows your metabolism as a living orb that fills when you eat and drains as you burn, so you can watch your body flip from burning food to burning fat. And when the scale rises, it stays silent, because water isn't fat and shame isn't data. Free, 100% on-device, no account.

I'm a physician in San Diego. For years I watched people step off my scale, see the number go up, and apologize - for water weight, for a period, for a hard week. The scale had no idea what it was measuring, but they took the blame anyway. So the first thing I wrote into RESERVE wasn't a feature - it was a silence: when your weight goes up, the app deliberately says nothing. That "no shame, ever" rule is a real constraint in the code, not a tone choice. Everything grew from there - a Metal-shader orb for your fuel, a burn rate learned from your own data instead of a formula, a pregnancy mode that refuses to show weight at all, charts blind users can hear. No account, no server; your data can't leave your phone. I built it solo over about a year. Happy to answer anything - the design ethics especially.
