Hello HN! It's been almost 5 years ago since I launched Remotion on Hacker News. Since then, we've slowly built various products that are useful for people building video editors. Over 25.000 commits later and many battles fought, we're putting the best parts into one template: The Remotion Editor Starter! Not least because of Remotion, more and more people are launching video editors on the web. With the Editor Starter, we hope to enable people to ship video editors faster and more importantly, in higher quality!

Jonny and team are amazing builders. Their attention to details is top notch. Have played around with the editor and I would say, it's the best I have seen on the web!

I’ve been using Remotion for years as the backbone for video generation in my app, and this is by far the most complete starting point I’ve seen. Building a robust, performant and scalable video editor interface is incredibly hard and there are so many details to get right.

This template nails so many of the challenges I’ve struggled with, and after trying the demo I’m really impressed with how well it all comes together. Congrats on the launch! 🎉
