Relay - Stop operational problems from falling through the cracks

by•
Relay helps frontline teams report operational problems and makes sure someone owns them through resolution. Employees can quickly report issues, while managers get clear ownership, status tracking, escalation, and visibility across locations and departments. Instead of problems disappearing into conversations, texts, spreadsheets, or forgotten follow-ups, Relay creates a clear path from report to resolution.

Hey Product Hunt — I’m Will, founder of Relay. I started building Relay because of a problem I saw firsthand while working in manufacturing. When someone on the floor noticed a problem, reporting it was usually the easy part. They could tell a supervisor, send a message, make a call, or mention it in a meeting. The harder question was: what happens after that? Who owns it? Has the right department been notified? Is someone actually working on it? Has it been sitting unresolved for three days? Did management ever know it happened? A lot of operational problems don’t disappear because nobody noticed them. They disappear because responsibility and follow-through become unclear. That’s what Relay is designed to fix. Frontline employees can report an issue quickly, Relay gives it an accountable owner, and the organization can track it through resolution. Managers get visibility into what’s unresolved, where things are getting stuck, and what problems keep recurring. We’ve built the product and are now entering the commercial validation stage. Manufacturing is our initial focus, but the underlying problem exists anywhere frontline teams, multiple departments, and physical operations have to coordinate. I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who run plants, facilities, field operations, warehouses, or other frontline-heavy businesses: How does your organization currently make sure a reported operational problem actually gets resolved? Thanks for checking out Relay.
