Redesk - Redesk Desktop Partition Organizer
by•
Redesk divides the desktop directly into regions without creating any visual container windows. The region background does not block the desktop right-click menu and can be set to invisible.
Redesk uses the default sort menu in the right-click menu and directly handles the system’s icon sorting requests.
Redesk supports separating shortcuts from files. It can also display files in separate columns by file extension. In addition, it supports setting custom sort priority for desktop icons.

Redesk is a desktop icon categorization and organization tool with a deeply native experience. It simply extends Windows' Arrange Icons feature without introducing any new visual elements on the desktop.
⬤ Native & Clean
・Uses the system's native desktop Arrange menu: Redesk takes over sorting execution without adding new menu items—zero change in user habits.
・No partition windows: only rule-based zones defined by position on the desktop. Zone backgrounds can be fully hidden, never obscuring desktop content.
・Icons only: operates solely on icon positions, never on files.
・Silent running: no window, no ads. Zero CPU usage when not arranging.
⬤ Rule-Based Zones
・Free creation: access the settings panel via the tray icon menu to create zones.
・Flexible arrangement rules: supports Name, Size, Type, Date Modified, and follows the desktop Arrange menu selection.
・Flexible layout direction: supports vertical or horizontal flow, and arrangement from any corner.
・Type grouping: when arranging by Type, icons are grouped into columns by type where space permits.
⬤ General-Area Enhancements
・Split shortcuts from files: automatically separates shortcuts and files into distinct arrangements. File arrangement also supports type grouping.
・Priority items: designate frequently used apps to appear first for quick access.
⬤ Sustainability
・Updates & maintenance: daily long-term testing and maintenance. Bugs reported by users are promptly diagnosed and addressed with urgent updates.
・Free: permanently free with no feature restrictions.
