How to not get banned when marketing effectively on Reddit?

For anyone who’s tried marketing on Reddit, how do you avoid getting banned while still getting real traction?

This is an issue I've seen so many creators face as they market on Reddit, especially initially as they start their journeys on there.

Personally, one thing I’ve found is that contributing value first and tailoring posts to each sub works way better than dropping links instantly but I think that's pretty generic.

Also, it feels a lot like walking a tightrope: curious how others are handling it. I’d love to hear any strategies you might have for staying on the good side of mods while actually driving signups successfully.
