there seems to be something wrong with the installer. after going through the setup wizard, no application is installed. I’m on a MacBook Pro, 10.14.6
@samallman87 The application will be installed to the Applications folder under your home folder (/Users/[yourname]/Applications) instead in the global Applications folder.
@kimmo_pekkola i just can’t get it to launch on Mojave. does it need to be code signed or something, cuz it seems like gatekeeper is killing it at launch. i can get the maintenance app to launch but no dice with the main app
@samallman87 There was a problem related the framework folder inside the application bundle so the Mac version did not work. I uploaded a new version to the website at https://www.rainclip.net. Please download the new installer and try again.

I just noticed no option to quit Rainclip. I have to force close the app. What are the plans to add this.
@michaelthegeek You can quit the app if you hold shift key down while closing the window from the cross icon. It's pretty difficult to discover (especially since it's not documented yet in anywhere :-) ) so I'll need to think about some more obvious place to put the quit functionality.
@lucky_jeffman I was building Android version but stopped that when Google announced that clipboard monitoring won't be allowed anymore. I need to re-evaluate what kind of feature set is possible in mobile platforms before I commit to support them.
This is a tool I created mainly for myself but as others probably will find it useful too I decided to make a public release of it. I use it a lot while developing but it has its uses in other situations too.
There are lot of similar tools available but most of them look dated or lack important features like text snippets or cloud sync.
The application is still in beta.

Rainclip looks interesting, but I'm not clear whether it can do what I want. I'm looking for a program that will automatically copy selected text to the clipboard, and then allow me to paste the item elsewhere with a middle mouse click. Can Rainclip do this?
