Data Analysts, how has AI changed your role? The Good, The Bad, The Ugly?

I would like to hear from data analysts or those whose primary job involves working with data irrespective of their role -
How has AI changed your role?
❤️ The Good: What's one thing you like that AI has done to make your professional life easier
👎 The Bad: What's one thing you wish you didn't have to do and had it better before ChatGPT came into your life
😭 The Ugly: You want to move to the mountains and become a shepherd because AI......

I think it changed it quite positively because I can visualise my ideas. Remember, that when I wanted to create something visual, I had to tell the graphic designer what I want, then had to wait additional 4 days when he delivered results. Reviewed them, another round of reworks (had to wait for the whole week again), this repeated maybe 2 or 3 times and the the client disapproved them anyway. :D
Now, I will tell ChatGPT what I want and I am done in 1 day.

@busmark_w_nika Nika, there is definitely upside of time and energy savings.
But for me personally, I did enjoy the team brainstorming part, which now I can do with ChatGPT, but it lacks that emotional element - the spark in the eyes on thinking of new idea, the laughter, the frustration (and later the joy) of convincing someone of your ideas or being convinced of someone else's better ideas, etc. As with any thing in life, there are pluses and minuses to AI as well - but everything seems compounded and moving at 1000 mph.

@querri yeah, humans can generate better mood, ChatGPT maybe better ideas :)

@busmark_w_nika that’s a positive perspective.
Good: AI kills the boring stuff. I don’t spend hours cleaning or reformatting data anymore. I can jump straight to analysis.
Bad: Context-switching has gotten worse. Everyone expects “quick insights” now because they assume AI makes everything instant.
Ugly: Some days it feels like AI is learning faster than I am… and that’s when the idea of becoming a mountain shepherd starts sounding oddly peaceful 😂

@ashutosh_mutatkar Ashutosh, spot on about the context switching part, it is indeed getting worse. I have a dozen ChatGPT and Claude tabs open and constantly keep jumping between different topics. I don't even have the time/patience to organize and then find my earlier conversations to continue, the urge is always to just dive in and get things done.

@ashutosh_mutatkar a mountain shepherd should be safe from AI 😅.
